Jury

The award is bestowed by a jury of 9, comprising art critics, curators, artists and university lecturers. Each member of the jury represents a different region of Switzerland so as to ensure that exhibitions all across the country be visited and assessed. Jury decisions are by majority. The prize money (CHF 40,000) is earmarked for future exhibition and outreach activities. The Julius Baer Foundation contributes the award funds, while the Swiss Federal Office of Culture (FOC) covers organizational costs of CHF 40,000. The Swiss Exhibition Award was first bestowed in the spring of 2009.
